These last couple of weeks have been some of the scariest as well as the most spiritually strengthening weeks of my life. Last Sunday, Jordan and I got back to Provo and in the middle of the night I started getting really sick. The symptoms progressed throughout the week throwing up, a really high fever, the most unbearable sore throat of my life and aches and pains. Jordan took me to the health center in the middle of the week and they told me I have mono and gave me some medications to help with the symptoms. I didn't get any better so Jordan took me back to the health center on Friday. They did some blood work and found out that I had essentially a white count of zero meaning I didn't have anything in my body to fight any form of sickness. They rushed me to the ER and admitted me to the hospital the same day and ran a series of probably 30 tests trying to figure out what was causing my blood count to be so low. It was either a reaction to medicine or a blood-related cancer.
My parents got right in the car and drove down to Provo to be with Jordan and I during this scary time. In the hospital I was given a blessing by my husband and Bishop and found great comfort from the Lord knowing that in due time I would heal. The doctors couldn't figure out why I had no immune system and continued running tests while pumping full of a wide variety of antibiotics. I finally got released from the hospital yesterday, Tuesday, because they want me to be in a cleaner environment to recover my immune system. I still have about half the white blood count of what is normal but every day it improves and we assume the decrease was from my hive medicine.
All I know is that the ONLY reason I am still alive let alone able to be here at home instead of the hospital is the Lord and his watching over me as well as my wonderful parents and husband who have taken care of me. I just want to say thank you to all of you who were and still are fasting and praying for me it's working.
