25 Random Things

This is kind of fun to do. Makes you think quite a bit! Try it!

1. Jordan and I have known each other since the end of my sophomore year of high school. So basically we have known each other, dated, and been married for 6 years.

2. I was born without a uvula (the thing that hangs down in the back of your throat.) This causes my voice to squeak occasionally when I talk but that is about it.

3. I learned to walk on the beaches of Mexico.

4. I have this strange affinity for math. I have always loved it. I started a business during the summers tutoring high school students math. When I got to college I would secretly get so excited to go to the library and study calculus for 5 hour stretches of time. I would even get caught with a big grin on my face doing problems because I was enjoying myself so much. Weird, I know.

5. I am a perfectionist. I don't expect perfection from others, but I do expect if from myself. If I hurt someone's feelings, feel like people don't like me, or do something wrong, I beat myself up for it. No one can ever discipline me more than I can myself.

6. I play the cello, the piano, and the guitar.

7. I wrote a bill on organ and tissue donation amending Idaho's Anatomical Gift Act to allow 16 & 17 years olds to become organ and tissue donors. Idaho's Senate Majority leader helped me write the bill and pass it through Idaho's legislature. I was able to testify for my bill in front of the Senate Judiciary and Rules Committee. This was one of the coolest experiences of my life!

8. I can't stand it when people leave water running, anywhere.

9. I am lactose intolerant so pretty much everything I eat has no dairy. I have an awesome husband who will drink soy milk and even eat soy ice cream with me!

10. I have been to more doctors and had more blood tests than I ever want to count. Not to mention 4 hospital stays in the last 4 years.

11. I love reminiscing with family members about anything. There is nothing I love more than to laugh. (Especially when I listen to Ali recount things from her childhood that she thinks happened to her but in actuality happened to other people. She has a very sympathetic memory.)

12. I am the only child in my family with dark hair and dark eyes. The rest are all light with blue eyes (their orignial hair color at least!).

13. Jordan and I have over 100 dvds. Most of them are Disney movies that I have collected for years not to be opened until we have kids. The rest though, we stare at and then end up saying to ourselves "Man we have no good movies, lets hit the redbox."

14. I LOVE kids. I could spend all day every day with them. There is nothing that excites me more than becoming a mom!

15. I have a 3 year-old cousin that is smarter than most teenagers. Her most recent hilarious comments are her opinions on the election. She watches CNN and thinks John McCain should have beat 'Rock Obama.

16. I have always had a dream of going to Italy. Just moments before Jordan opened his mission call I told my mom if I ever went on a mission I would hope it would be to Italy. Then 10 seconds later Jordan read "You have hereby been called to serve in the Catania, Italy mission." I was so excited and jealous. Little did I know I would be marrying Jordan and he would become the perfect tour guide!

17. My dad used to run Karl Malone's trucking company so Karl would come stay at our house occasionally. I remember he would always have to bend nearly in half to fit down our stair case and not hit his head on the ceiling!

18. I love to exercise. There is nothing better than endorphines to start a day out right.

19. I was Miss Idaho Falls back in 2005. One of the best times of my life! I would drive back from Provo every other weekend of my freshman year of college to make appearances.

20. I love to decorate cakes, especially wedding cakes.

21. Sewing is my new passion. I love making myself clothes and anyone else who will wear them. I need kids so I have more people to sew for!

22. I hate feeling like a burden to people. I will literally do anything than to have to make people be burdened in my behalf. I hate the feeling of putting people out.

23. I have bigger hands than most guys. I would always have to buy a man's extra large golf glove to golf. Unfortunately it would always be baggy. I just have really long, skinny fingers.

24. I love to cook! My specialty is homemade pizza. I think I have mastered the Club Pizza from California Pizza Kitchen.

25. I love interviews and everything to do with them. I love the pressure of having to think on your feet when you are asked really hard questions. I also love interviewing people to get to know them better. I have had amazing interview coaches throughout my time and have learned some great things. It has been fun to now coach other people to return the favor.
