Wow, I win the award for most inconsistent posting. Like I said when you don't have kids it's hard to think of things to write about except: woke up, went to work, came home from work, fixed dinner, quilted, went to bed. No, we are not that boring (okay maybe) but we do try to fit some fun things in here and there. For example, we repainted all of our kitchen cabinets and it only took us a month of spending every hour every weekend painting. They look SO good though. We are now trying to find a good replacement for our not-so-great counter top.
Jord and I have really gotten into running lately. We try to run several miles everyday whether outside or at the gym. We love it! Exercising makes us feel so much better! Jord is in the middle of preparing for finals, studying for the DAT, working, and applying for dental school. I am so proud of him because he works so hard and still makes time to do fun things with me when I get home from working way too long of hours. I love my job however. I just got a raise (wahoo!) as well as sort of a promotion to Assistant Director of Admissions. I was really flattered since I have only been there 3 months. I work with the most interesting of people with the most interesting of lives. I hear stories that I'd rather not hear and find myself crying other days listening to heartbreaking scenarios. The other day one of my students came to school to tell me she was now homeless. It makes you sick and you ponder what you can do other than send her home with your lunch to help and tell her you'll take her grocery shopping any time. I love working with students to help change their lives but sometimes working 50 hours a week can get a little overwhelming. Jord has helped to encourage me to do some of the things on my "Bucket List." We both created bucket lists of things we want to accomplish and one of mine is to sew a patch quilt. I LOVE to sew but have never attempted a quilt. The one I am working on is so cute! I will post pictures when it is done. It gives me something to do when I get home from work and Jord has to study.
We can't wait for Easter. We're going home to hang out with the family. Next week I fly to Vegas for a 3 day training for work and the week after that is graduation and all of our family is coming. So basically I will actually have something to post about!
We love life and try to make the best of everyday by stopping to take lunch breaks together, go shopping, play sports, or exercise. Anyhow, stay tuned because I'll have better things to post soon!

Running is the best! Do you guys go to Gold's?
Where is Jordan applying to? AT Still University in Mesa, AZ (where we are at) is an excellent school and I highly recommend it. Good luck with everything - when he flies away for interviews across the nation, it helps to have chocolate to keep you company! :-)
we're good, haha! ya we go outside whenever we can too, but the weather has been so crappy lately! i'm surprised we haven't seen you guys at Gold's, though. we are there like all the time. We like to sauna it up after we're done running, :). but yeah i was excited to find your blog it seems like forever ago when we were in junior miss together. Crazy crazy! congrats on your promotion. I am currently looking for a job so if you hear of anything.... let me know, haha. i'm desperate. Well i'll see ya around hopefully!
Where are the pictures of your beautiful cabinets? We want to see the finished product! : ) See you guys on Sunday!

Thanks for the update. No, that's not a boring life! It sounds like you're trying to stay balanced. I know the feeling of trying to find hobbies to do when your husband is always studying! Good luck to Jordan on finals and the DAT! Thomas is doing that right now, too.
Oops. This is Staci, not Drostan. ;)
Run baby Run! That's great. We love running! Congrats on the promotion. We can't wait to see you tomorrow. I have a friend who does all sorts of rag quilts that are adorable. I want to make one one day- by the way- it doesn't get easier to post when you have kids. There are tons of things to say, but not enough time in the day to say them!!!
