Sofia

This is the beginning of a series of five posts so be sure to keep reading! This post is all about Sofia, our oldest little angel baby!
Sofia is such a doll. She is so content and happy with the world. When Sofia cries you pay attention because there must be something wrong. Either she's hungry, or has a dirty diaper. She is eating about 5 1/2 ounces at each feeding and only has a poopy diaper every 2 or 3 days. When she does, watch out, it's a lot!

Some of the things I love about Sofia:

  • She makes the cutest high pitch whimper after she sneezes.
  • She wrinkles her forehead all the time like she's deep in thought.
  • She LOVES her baby swing but hates to lay on her back.
  • She doesn't like to be alone. If I take Bella out of their bassinet to change her diaper, Sofia immediately starts to cry. She also knows when I leave the room. She'll fuss if she thinks she's alone.
  • She is very strong. The first time we did tummy time she rolled over from her stomach to her back at just five weeks old.
  • She throws her head back when you burp her to see who is holding her. She'll then stare at you for a good 2 or 3 minutes.
  • She is a cuddle bug. She loves to cuddle and will sleep on you all day if you'd let her.
  • She loves to sleep. She'll sleep most of the day while her sister is awake most of the day.
  • Her toes are hilarious. She can spread them so far apart you'd think she had little fingers on her feet.
  • She passes gas every time she gets mad. I think that's going to come back to haunt her some day!
She is learning how to hold her bottle already. She'll hold it almost every time!
Sofia's nicknames:
  • So So
  • Sofie
  • Sofie Bug
  • Sof
We are so lucky to have Sofia in our family. She's a little piece of heaven!

So cute, Hilary! They are ADORABLE! And I LOVED the costume idea you had for Grandma Baker's party! (I feel like a milking cow with my babies, too!) I actually understand about pumping, too. Nursing wasn't working with Peyton, and I pumped for 11 months! It worked out okay. I got so fast at it that it wasn't too bad. It's more convenient than nursing sometimes. I'm glad things are working out for you. I'm glad you're home again with Jordan (although you don't see him much--I understand about that, too!) Hang in there. I'm impressed with your positive attitude!
