Well, here we are...6 months already! These little bugs are so stinking fun. My days are full of hugs, kisses, and pats on the back (literally...from Sofia!)
I know I just posted their 4 month update the other day but I have saved some of my favorite things the girls do for this post. But first, the stats.
Disclaimer: Jordan and I have LARGE heads. So naturally, so do our girls. Don't be alarmed by these numbers!

As of 3/30/11
Bella:
Weight: 15 lbs 10 oz.....29%
Length: 25 1/4".............30%
Head Circumference: 17 1/2 "........91%
Sofia:
Weight: 18 lbs 5 oz.......84%
Length: 27 1/4 "...........90%
Head Circumference: 18"............98%
During pregnancy, the ultrasound tech kept telling me, these girls have short legs and big heads. I was thinking oh great, that's exactly what a hormonal, anxious pregnant woman needs to hear. Well the head part was true to form and I guess for Bella so is the leg part. I'm not sure where Sofia gets her height. Certainly not from my family where my dad towers over the rest of his family at a whopping 5' 8". Anyway, We love these sweeties. Shots were rough....for me. The girls did great! I hate holding down those chunky legs only to have them look up to me like what have you let that mean nurse do to me? I cried longer than both girls combined. What a wimp.
Alright, on to my favorite new developments.
Sofia: This little one does.not.hold.still. She keeps me on my toes 24/7. She can nose dive off of about anything in her curiosity and haste to discover new things. She rolls every which way and has mastered the scrunch and throw crawl method where she sticks her bum high in to the air and then launches her body forward. We have a crawler on our hands any day now, I can feel it. Sofia's favorite and possibly only form of affection is the pat on the back. She pats you whenever she wants to show love. I think it's from all the burping pats we've given her the last 6 months. She's just returning the favor. We love it!
Sofia's finally getting better at finding her quiet voice rather than her ear splitting screaming voice to communicate. She loves to touch any one's face and pat on them on the cheek. She's a master of the bumbo chair and somehow can reach and grab things far out of her reach. Yesterday, I had her many feet from the garbage pile sitting on our kitchen floor as she was sitting in the bumbo and I turned around to find her pulling things out of the garbage and playing with them. Oh boy.
My very favorite thing though, prayers. Last Sunday, we were at my parents house for dinner. Everyone closed their eyes to pray. My dad happened to peak at Sofia and she was squinting her eyes closed like everyone else. I heard my dad chuckling so I opened my eyes to find my 6 month old praying with the rest of the family. What a smarty!
Love HER!
Bella: Oh Belly my love. This little girl is a heart melter. She give the BEST slobbery kisses I have ever received and is always willing to give them out. I get at least 12 kisses a day from this beauty! Oh and did I mention she has the tiniest little 6 pack. She is so strong. Yesterday, I was reading them a book. Sofia was on my lap and Bella laying next to me. As I was reading I look over at Bella and she was sitting up next to me. Just lifted her self up with her abs. I guess her view of the book wasn't satisfactory and she needed a better look. Caught me of guard, that's for sure, but it certainly earned her a nice snugly place on my lap!
This little girl LOVES and I mean Loves Micky Mouse Club House. I put it on in the morning so I can feed one baby while the other watches this. When the song comes on Bella's whole little body shakes with excitement! She gets a huge smile on her face! I love it!
Bella is star struck with her dad. Consequently, her first word is da da da da da da da. ALL. DAY. LONG! I love it and think it is so cute. Especially since Sofia has no desire to try and form words. Bella also started saying Baba for bottle. When her dad leaves for school or comes home from school you can hear a chorus of da das for the next few seconds. When Jordan came home today she raised her hands above her head and got super excited. Jordan had to shower first though from being in the anatomy lab. He left and Bella cried through his whole shower until he made a reappearance 5 minutes later. Such a daddy's girl.
Bella is content not rolling or inching forward. She has a very laid back personality and would be fine holding her dangling toes above her head all day long.

What a sweetie pie!
Here's a recent video clip. You've heard of how twins sometimes will talk to each other and form their own language? I think these two are well on their way. They love each other for the most part 98% of the time (unless the other one has a more enticing toy). I love watching them communicate. I had to hide behind a table to get this video. They stop what they're doing if they see me.
Enjoy!
