Baby Food...All In a Day's Work

All in a day's work. Okay maybe more than a day, but well worth it. That's right I make my own baby food and I LOVE it. Call it baby love if you will. It is the coolest thing. I love to know what my babies are eating and more importantly how it was made. Let me walk you through this sweet process.
My favorite cook book for babies. Let's me know what foods the girls can eat at what ages.
My favorite machine. The Babycook. Retails for a little over $100 and well worth it. Let me show you why. You start with typical fruits and veggies such as this:

You cut them up like so:Throw them into the Babycook and let them steam.

15 minutes later you dump out the water and puree your food in just 5 seconds to look like this:
Dump the goods in ice cube trays like these:
Freeze overnight and pop out the next morning on a tray like this:

Store and label your goods in freezer bags like so:

Result: Full baby bellies and much cheaper grocery bills.

In just a day and half's time, I made enough food for two meals a day for two babies for 3 weeks for just $15! Buying baby food at the store would have cost me $60. What a savings! I will have my Babycook payed off in 3 months this way. I love this process and my girls love the food even more. Pictured above, carrots, zucchini, peas, apples, bananas, and pears.

Definitely one of my favorite baby purchases.

Wow, how cool! I'll have to remember that! I have a hand baby grinder that I use to grind my meals into food my baby can eat, but I'll have to remember this! Your little girls are so adorable and are getting so big! They look like they have their own different, unique personalities. Hey, and isn't Jordan about done with school? Maybe you can have a little break before you head to Nebraska? I hope so!
