Baby Blessing

The girls were blessed this last month on November 7, 2010. It was a cold, fall day and we blessed them in my parent's ward. You can read more about why we give our children a name and a blessing here. Jordan did SUCH a fabulous job. They were two of the most beautiful blessings I have ever heard. A lot of thought, pondering, and prayer went into them and Jordan was certainly in tune with the Lord.
Their dresses were bought before they were born. I bought totally different dresses because when I found out I was having twins I felt strongly that I wanted them to feel like they were their own people as well as a twin. It was amazing how the dresses just worked out. Sofia's was very long, simple, and elegant just like her while Bella's was beautiful, poofy, and a little spunky.
In case you can't tell, because I had to do a double take, Sofia Marcell Baker is on the left and Bella Alyse Baker is on the right. They wore beautiful little gold bracelets from Great Grandma Helen. We had to tie them on with ribbon though because they were too big.

By the end of the day Bella was done with this whole dress thing. The fabric of her dress was irritating her skin. So we got zero family pictures with all four of us happy. I guess three out of four is decent considering the long day!

We had lunch at Spinner's after the meeting where we ate a delicious potato bar. Our parents were so kind to help us out so much!
One of my favorite pictures! So precious.
Their shoes were even different. Jordan is holding Sofia and I am holding Bella!

What a neat day. It will be something we'll remember for the rest of our lives. I am so grateful for my husband and the worthy priesthood holder that he is!
