What a Week!

This week has been a little crazy. Jordan and I finally finished all of our midterms yesterday--hallelujah--which has concluded a very hectic week. Last Wendesday, I started a cake decorating class as a way to diversify my time and give me something to look forward to every week. On the way home from the class, I got a phone call from my dad telling me that my Grandpa Walker was in the ICU of the hospital in Murray. He is a transplant patient having received a heart nearly 14 years ago this February. He went in to do his annual angioplasty and in the process the doctor found a lot of plaque in his arteries. During the procedure plaque started to break off and clogged all of his main arteries to the heart then clogging his heart. All of our family flew into Salt Lake on Friday and we spent most of the day taking trips 2 at a time into the ICU to see grandpa. His spirits were hi and he seemed normal. Grandpa has defied the odds so many times and is so tough that he would never let on that he was uncomfortable or in pain. He is still in the ICU because of complications and they are debating on whether to put a permanent pace maker in his 33 year-old heart. We pray for him constantly and grandma too becuase we just don't know how much longer until Heavenly Father is ready to have him back. We sure love him!

On a different note, latter that night (Friday), Jordan and I went to an Italian reunion with a bunch of missionaries from his mission. Anziano Rivera cooked lasagna for everyone and then we watched El Postino. We had a great time. And by the way, did you know that it is common to but hard boiled eggs in you lasagna in Italy?

Saturday was the Valentine's Stake Dance. So Jordan and I got our groove on and hit the stake dance. We weren't sure what you wear to a stake dance like this so we wore fancy shirts and nice jeans. When we got there we saw everything from formals and bow ties to leggins and t-shirts. We had fun though and even got our picture taken!

We are excited for the real Valentines Day coming up here pretty soon! I'll let you know what cute plans Jordan comes up with because apparently he's been working on them for some time. I have the sweetest husband!
