Missouri River Bridge

This past Saturday, we took the girls to walk across the Missouri River Pedestrian Bridge. It is a bridge suspended by cables that starts in Omaha, NE and ends in Iowa. The bridge crosses the entire Missouri river. It was really cool to walk across but a little bit spooky too as the bridge moves while you're on it. I imagine they built it the way they did to withstand the crazy high winds we get here in Omaha.

Here we are at the start of the bridge in Nebraska

The view from the bridge, and you can see just how high the river is. Those red umbrellas have tables attached to them but they are currently under water.

Bella and Sofia thought it was pretty cool they they were both in different states at the same time. Sof, loving Iowa and Bella relaxing in Nebraska.

You can see the suspension cables over top of our heads.
It was unbelievably hot that day and SO humid. The girls were totally tuckered out by the end of the day. Here they are enjoying the AC.
Poor Sof. She was pretty hot.
A super fun day!
