So Long Idaho.....Hello Nebraska

We made it! Our most wonderful year in Idaho has come to an end and we have embarked on our new journey to a much different place, Omaha, NE. We had such an awesome time being close to family this last year especially during a time when we needed so much help with Bella and Sofia being born.
Jordan finished his first year of dental school and did awesome! I am so proud of how hard he works and how well he does in school while still making plenty of time for his family.

The last couple of weeks we packed up our little place in Pocatello, ID and shipped our things to Omaha. A few days later Jordan, his mom, and I all took turns driving our two cars out to Omaha while the girls stayed home with my parents for a week.

We arrived at our town home two weeks ago today and spent a week cleaning, painting, unpacking and decorating our home. It really is amazing what three adults can get done in a week when you stay up till three in the morning every day working. That Friday, Jordan's mom left and a couple of hours later my parents showed up with our little angels. Oh boy, did I miss them! My parent's helped us continue to finish things up here and now we are now pretty much settled. We've had a whole week to enjoy Omaha and we love it here!

During our 17 hour drive we finally passed the sign above and fully expected to encounter a scene similar to the one below and trust me, we did. Throughout most of Nebraska I kept wondering if there really was civilization in this state. So beautiful but only fields as far as the eye could see for the majority of the state. Finally we approached....beautiful Omaha. Clean, green, packed with trees (we were wondering why Nebraska was the home of Arbor Day), friendly, and so welcoming. We couldn't be more pleased with this beautiful city. The nation's 42nd largest city according to Wikipedia. The crazy thing is that we are so far on the edge of Nebraska that we spend a good portion of our time in Iowa too. That's where all the convenient grocery shopping is.

We live so close to so many fun things including the Henry Dorly Zoo rated in the top 3 zoos in the nation. Our girls are going to love it! We will post pictures of our home soon and even better, pictures of the girls. We are doing great but we sure miss all of you!
